I am the Cosmos,
Under the satin dusk,
Beneath the crackling leaves,
Emerging from within the brown.
I am the face of love and the destroyer of worlds, hurling through space.
I am the Cosmos,
In nature and in the blue, running my immortal pace.
Oh foolish man! Deceiving each other and waging wars! Will you ever be satisfied, until I am all but gone??
My immortality running cold,
As your souls become hardened stones,
With broken dreams and broken people,
Devoid of mercy.
When hunger strikes and children weep, when hearts break and people cheat,
You remain silent, with lips that don't speak,
Burning nests and trees,
Creating lines and territories.
My angels cry as they cannot perceive,
This unruly state of being.
The horrors that you do, the sleep that you kill,
Will you ever feel content, while my forests become ill?
Save me before I explode from beneath,
And create a reign of hell fire so deep,
That you shall remember my face once more,
As it wipes away your pride and vanity.
Save me before I become chaos,
Save me before I am all but gone.
