How not to get bored

After my previous post, I found some ways on how not to get bored during my vacations. If you feel bored, you can try it too.

1. Blink wildly and then close your eyes really tight for an interesting light show
See a variety of blobs, stars and flashes. Try to make out shapes and see if your subconscious is trying to send you a message.

2. Slap yourself
That’s right! Slap your face real hard.

What is pain? Why is it unpleasant? There's nothing physical about it - it's all in your mind. Plus, after slapping yourself for awhile, boredom will seem nice next to being in pain.

3. Repeat the same word over and over until it loses its meaning
Repeat the word “Gaberlunzie” and say it aloud to yourself until it becomes a meaningless set of noises.

4. Scratch yourself
Go ahead, scratch yourself now. Even if nothing itches, go ahead. Doesn't that feel pretty good?

5. Jump up and down
Jump up and down and start shouting, “who let the dogs out”. I tried it, and its good entertainment!

6. Imagine you are a celebrity
Imagine that you are a famous actor who won the best actor award in the Academy Awards and that you are getting interviewed on television. (Make up a conversation). It’s a good idea for time pass.

7. Become a monkey
Besides, what’s wrong in pretending to be a monkey?? They are our ancestors after all!

Just scratch your head and armpits, jump up and down, and start screeching as if someone stole your food. (Be careful not to annoy the neighbours).

8. Stare at the back of someone's head until they turn around
This works on the "I have the feeling I'm being watched" principle. Conduct experiment-does this really work?

9. Try to not think about polar bears
This is especially hard, because by trying too much, you remember what you were trying to avoid thinking of. If you try too little, you end up thinking about polar bears anyway.

Here is the best of all

10. Pour water in your hand, make sneeze noise, throw water on back of person's neck
Always a good gag. For an even bigger reaction out of the person, act like you're not sorry at all for what they think you did. Comment instead on how big that sneeze was or about how there was a lot of mucus in that one.

11. The pen paper test
This works like a charm. All you need is a pen and paper. Take a pen and start scribbling whatever that comes into your mind. In the end you may even make a masterpiece sketch.

Check out how it turned out for me: -

12. Juggle three real eggs
Juggling can be fun and moreover, if you are juggling eggs, you can get occupied because they tend to be messy if they get broken.

13. Become a rockstar
Imagine that you’re part of a rock band and you’re performing in front of millions. Play the background music using your music devices and start singing.

14. Laugh! Laugh! Laugh!
Start laughing for no reason at all. Just laugh out loud and enjoying laughing. Laugh, Laugh and laugh until you have had enough. Try it, it feels good!

15. Make posts on how not to get bored
Exactly what I just did. Let your imagination run wild and come up with many ways to overcome boredom, which itself is a way to overcome boredom. Come up with new ideas and share it with everyone on blogs, videos or social networking sites like Facebook.

I hope you never get bored after using one of these techniques.
