Sometimes life can take us to different places. Some of them may be beyond our wildest imaginations. These are the experiences of our life.
One such experience has taken me on a journey. A journey towards the west, beyond the Arabian sea. My destiny has brought me to the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE is a fascinating country ruled by different 'Sheikhs' and joined by different Emirates. It is a federation of seven emirates viz; Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain. I'm currently residing in the emirate known as Sharjah near the Dubai - Sharjah border.
These emirates are filled with tall skyscrapers, vast roads and beautiful turfs. A majority of the people have come here to do business. Some people come here poor and end up rich while others come here rich and end up poor. This is a place full of possibilities, but the latter is least likely to happen.
This is the place where I met a lot of people of whom I had heard of, but never actually met personally. Out of these people, two of them are my cousins Niha (itta) and Mehak. I personally consider them as my own sisters and I believe that they consider me as their own brother. This is the kind of relationship we have established in just 10 days, 6 hours and 48 minutes! Niha is an year older than me; that is why I call her 'itta' which is used to address elder sisters. And Mehak is six years younger than me. When asked, they also gave me the assurance that they will not forget me once I return back to India.
We have had our share of joy and fun. In fact, I'm going to miss them a lot once I return back to my native country. I'm happy that, because of me, they too are happy. After all, it is Niha itta who taught me that, "to be happy, make someone else happy."
Niha itta and Mehak, if you are reading this, remember that this post is dedicated to you.
That's all for now my fellow readers. I'll keep updating on my days in UAE and always remember, "A tree is known by it's fruit, a man by his deeds, a good deed is never lost, the one who sows courtesy reaps friendship and the one who plants kindness gathers love.
Thank you for reading...
